2018 Children’s Mental Health Summit

Every Child Can Be a Success: Creating Positive Outcomes

Mark your calendar for May 10-11, 2018, at the Hilton Jackson.

Today, 1 in 5 children experience a behavioral health crisis including substance abuse, mood disorders, ADHD, autism, emotional challenges and self-harming tendencies. Unfortunately, when symptoms go unnoticed or untreated, these challenges become much more difficult to overcome and can impact the social, emotional and physical health of the child long-term. Of the children who suffer, fewer than 20 percent ever receive proper treatment.  But, given the right tools, every child can be a success story.

During this year’s summit, we will give participants the tools they need to create positive outcomes for Mississippi’s children and families.  We have extended our event this year to include pre-conference workshops that address many of the pressing issues facing those working with children.

The 2018 Children’s Mental Health Summit will feature nationally recognized speaker, Dr. Scott D. Miller.

Thank you to the Mississippi Department of Mental Health for their support of the summit.
