Payment
Participants for both the pre-conference sessions and the summit can register online by clicking here.

Pre-conference (May 10):  There will be a $50/participant fee for the pre-conference.  The fee will cover the cost of materials, breaks, and CEUs.

Children’s Mental Health Summit (May 11): There will be a $100/participant fee which covers the cost of materials, breaks, lunch and CEUs. Fees can be paid by check or credit card.  Please make checks payable to Canopy Children’s Solutions. Please submit payment to: Mississippi Children’s Mental Health Summit, c/o Canopy Children’s Solutions, Post Office Box 1078, Jackson, MS 39215. Refunds will not be granted after April 20, 2018.

State agencies can pay through pay mode under Mississippi Children’s Home Society.  Please submit your registration form with registered participants to 601.968.0021

Continuing Education Hours

Social Workers

Canopy Children’s Solutions is an approved provider for the Mississippi Board of Examiners for Social Work & Marriage and Family Therapist: DP#SWB14002, Renewal Date 3-6-20.  Social Workers may receive up to 3.0 Continuing Education clock hours by attending the Thursday, May 10, 2018, Children’s Mental Health Summit Pre-conference. Social Workers may receive up to 7.0 Continuing Education clock hours by attending the Friday, May 11, 2018, Children’s Mental Health Summit. All sessions approved for Clinical, Ethics or Cultural Diversity CE hours are clearly identified and outlined by each session in the program.

Licensed Professional Counselors

Canopy Children’s Solutions has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 6857. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Canopy Children’s Solutions is solely responsible for all aspects of the program. Licensed Professional Counselors may receive up to 3.0 Continuing Education clock hours by attending the 2018 Children’s Mental Health Summit Pre-conference, Thursday, May 10th. Licensed Professional Counselors may receive up to 7.0 continuing education clock hours by attending the Friday, May 11, 2018 Children’s Mental Health Summit. The NBCC content areas approved for CE hours are clearly identified in the program.

Educators

Mississippi Children’s Home Society d/b/a Canopy Children’s Solutions has satisfactorily completed requirements and has been approved as an official provider of Continuing Education Units through Mississippi College for the academic year 2017-2018 for participants who are licensed through the Mississippi Department of Education. Program application has been submitted for the 2018 Children’s Mental Health Summit, Pre-Conference on Thursday, May 10 for 0.3 CEU credit and the Summit on Friday, May 11, for 0.7 CEU credit, totaling 1.0 CEU for all sessions. Attendees wanting CEU through the Office of Continuing Education at Mississippi College will have to register for CEU credit on-site and pay a $10 fee (check or credit card) for a certificate to be issued.

Department of Mental Health Credentialed Professionals

The Mississippi Department of Mental Health (DMH), Division of Professional Licensure and Certification, has approved continuing education credit for the 2018 Children’s Mental Health Summit and Pre-conference. The following DMH credentialed professionals may receive continuing education hours: Mental Health Therapist, Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) Therapist, Addictions Therapist, Community Support Specialist, Certified Peer Support Specialist Professionals, and Licensed Administrator.

These DMH certified professionals may receive up to 3.0 CE’s by attending the 2018 Children’s Mental Health Summit Preconference on Thursday, May 10, 2018. Pre-conference session 102 “Applied Behavior Analysis and the Treatment of Autism” is approved for CE’s for Licensed Administrators, Mental Health Therapist and IDD Therapist only. Pre-conference Sessions 101 & 201 “Ethical issues in the Age of Technology” is approved for 1.5 Ethics CE’s.

These DMH certified professional may receive up to 7.0 CE’s by attending the 2018 Children’s Mental Health Summit on Friday, May 11, 2018. All sessions approved for Cultural Diversity CE hours are clearly outlined by each session in the program. All sessions are approved for all DMH professional credentials unless otherwise specified.
